Writing Services

Laura is available for large or small jobs. Working with your subject matter experts, she can assist with background research and project design, and she will write your proposal as an iterative process, soliciting your feedback as the narrative takes shape. She can manage the proposal development process, including adherence to internal and external deadlines. Her management experience includes working with multiple collaborating partners on joint applications.

Laura's writing strengths include the ability to

  • expand an outline of technical concepts into a narrative;
  • integrate information from multiple sources to create a cohesive document written in one voice; and
  • ensure proper organization, formatting, and compliance with instructions and page limits.

Editing and Reviewing Services

Your funding proposal narrative must be clear and focused on your message, so the reviewers can easily visualize and grasp your proposed concept and its benefits. Before you submit, Laura can review and edit your proposal to ensure your application is well organized, complies with the application instructions, and presents a strong argument for funding support.

Academic Manuscript Editing

Laura has extensive experience writing and editing peer-reviewed journal articles, conference papers, white papers, and technical reports. She can assist authors by editing manuscripts with attention to organization, language usage, emphasis, and clarity.

Coaching Services

Laura can coach early-career researchers in grant writing and help them develop their ideas through an iterative process of review, critique, and editing. She will help ensure that the narrative is both compelling to reviewers and meets the requirements of the funding agency.
